I, too, was a little disappointed when my package from France arrived- it was a present from my daughters to me, the break freak, and they knew it would be a once-in-alifetime treat for me. Maybe I am used to my own breads or maybe my expectations were too high, but after cutting a slice I put it into the freezer (horrors) where it is still languishing after all these months. I dearly loved the Punitions butter cookies, though. I just finished off the last of them. Love your blog!

Great book! your bread looks tasty. Slicing bread before freezing is wise. I like to freeze what I won’t eat right away, so it’s just as fresh when it thaws.

I love the ‘crackly’ design of the loaf.

For me the bread was at its peak of deliciousness on the third day. Or maybe I was just imagining it at the time.:)

To me, they are identical. Twin brothers. Great job! (for some reason, yesterday I could not see any of the photos, so I am glad I came back today)

Now, let me know if you place the order… I once ALMOST did, but could not bring myself to go through with it….

I can’t wait to hear if you really order the miche. If you do, you’re a certified bread freak . Fortunately, I don’t have to order it from their site – they sell the original miche in Berlin (Germany), too. I haven’t tried it yet, but will do so soon!
